Rose Alexandre Buccino

Rose Buccino of Linden NJ passed on December 22,2021 at the age of 76 subsequent to cardiac complications. Born in Haïti to Judge Louis Audain Belmont and Marie-Therese Vesta Bellabe. She was the 4th of  their 18 children. She was a fun loving, energetic, hardworking woman who cared for her loved ones from an early age.  As an educator, in the 60s she owned and operated the first private institution of her hometown Chantal, Cayes (Notre Dame  de Lourdes). She taught at Tertulien Guilbaud and later became the principal of another school Institution of Thomas Madiou. In the latter part of her life, Rose took her passion to care for others to another level. She worked well beyond her retirement as a Certified Nurses Aide until the age of 74. Her reasons: “There are so many less fortunate than I, that still need my help.”… She sponsored so many to achieve higher education, a vision she shared with her late husband Antoine C. Alexandre with whom she took many under her tutelage both in Haiti and in the USA. She was graceful and elegant, loved to travel and visited 12 countries believing that learning other cultures is the best way to grow mentally and spiritually.  Traveling is a passion she communicated well to her children. When she wasn't traveling, Rose enjoyed her soap operas, endless conversations with friends and family, devoted her time to the Lord with fasting and daily prayers, would end her day with a glass of wine.   Her children referred to her smile as a ray of sunshine. That smile warmed the heart of many. To know her is to love her. Rose Myrtha or “Mousse” is preceded in death by  2 husbands AirForce veteran and detective Pasquale Buccino of Belleville and Director of Board of Education in Haiti/Cassation Court Judge Antoine C. Grant Alexandre. She is survived by her 3 children Mrs Shirley Alexandre-Bourjolly, Mrs. Fabiola Alexandre, and Mr. Pierre Antoine Alexandre. Her 4 grandchildren Girbaud, Soraya, Priscilla Vanessa, and Krystal-Leah. Her siblings Mrs Jeanne Mireille, Mrs Louise Adeline, Mrs Natalie Andrée Valentin, Mrs Rose Laure Nau, Mr. Joseph Leon Audain Belmont, Mr. Jean Joseph William Belmont. many cousins and nephews. A celebration of life will be held for the Beloved Rose Myrtha Belmont Alexandre Buccino on Saturday January 8th 2021 at Holy Rosary and Saint Michael Church 52 Smith Street  Elizabeth NJ 07201. White bouquet of Flowers can be received via the Funeral Home Union Funeral Home website.  Condoleances can be mailed to 304 Amy Way Cinnaninson NJ 08077 Donations received will help fund a project to sponsor the education of underprivileged students in Chantal Cayes in honor of our dearly departed. Cremation will follow privately at Rosedale Crematory, Orange, NJ.
