September 17, 1922 — August 23, 2021

ROY KAY, JR. 1922-2021 Second son of Josie and Roy Sr. Paterson Central HS Class of 1940. WWII (Army) France, Germany and Philippine Islands. Marriage to Mildred Louise Wolff (Jefferson City, MO) 1946. Resumption of career in banking at Prospect Park National Bank, Citizens First National Bank, Great Falls and Highland State Banks; retiring in April of 2013. Wayne resident 1952-2001. Wayne BOE 1958-1964. Wayne Planning Board 1960-1966. St. Joseph’s Hospital (Wayne) Board of Directors and Foundation. Founding member with Mildred of Preakness Baptist Church (1955). New residence at Timber Ridge/Cedar Crest (2001) where Mildred (d. 2012) and Roy enjoyed many good years with new friends. Thank you Cedar Crest Community!! Our father/grandfather was ever energetic, nurturing and above all an inspiration and a blessing with Mildred for his children Roy L., Shirley J. (Norman), Valerie E. (Raymond) and grandsons Calvin (Krystal) Timothy, Bennett, and Donovan Honeywell. We respectfully invite all to a celebration of Roy’s life on September 4th at 11:00 am at the Cedar Crest Chapel with a brief reception to follow at the adjacent Woodland Commons. Donations to the Good Shepherd Mission (co-founded by Roy’s father), 336 Broadway, Paterson, NJ 07501 would be appreciated.
