Rudolph F. Chmielewski

Rudolph F. "Rudy" Chmielewski of Bloomfield passed away at his home on February 4, 2013 at the age of 85. Visiting hours are 4 to 7pm on Thursday February 7 at Levandoski Funeral Home 44 Bay Avenue Bloomfield. The funeral will begin at 9am at the funeral home on Friday. His funeral mass will be at St. Valentine Church in Bloomfield at 10am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Rudy is survived by his wife Viola (formerly Viola Kelly). Beloved step father of Pat Kelly and his other step children James, Cheryl, Nancy, Jane and Kathleen. Brother of Genevieve Chmielewski. Uncle of Gloria,Susan,Jeanne and Elaine. Rudy was a machinist in the maintenance department with Westinghouse Corp. in Bloomfield for many years and also with Schering-Plough in Bloomfield He was an Army Veteran of WW2, he was stationed in France and worked as a machinist for the railroad. Past president of Bloomfield Senior Citizens Club,member of J. Poniatowski Assoc. and a past usher and very involved member of St. Valentine Church.
