Samuel Martinez

Samuel Martinez, 55, of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2020.  Born in Newark, he lived in Belleville before finally settling in Bloomfield.  He was employed as a Mechanic's helper for Grand Rental Station in Bloomfield. Sammy was a hardworking and caring individual who had a big heart.  An outgoing perfectionist, he found great joy in the simple things in life; Cars, Electronics, MMA/Boxing, Movies (even Soaps) and flying mini aircrafts. But best of all, he had an endless love for his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were his greatest gifts. He is survived by his mother, Margarita Martinez, he is the beloved husband of Norma Martinez (nee: Perez), cherished father of Melanie Martinez & her fiancé Collin Haas, Ariel Martinez & his fiancé Jessica Rodriguez, proud and loving grandfather of Alyanna & Cesar. He is also survived by his many siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. Due to CDC restrictions, visitation will be held privately.   Interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
