Sandra John

Sandra Patricia John, lovingly known as (Mother International), 69 of Old Bridge, NJ, departed this life on Saturday morning, February 4, 2023. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, on January 7, 1954, to the late Roderick and Lorna Smith. Sandra enjoyed a simple and quiet life, going to the beaches and enjoying nature. She was a fantastic gardener and had the knack to bring plants back to life. Sandra’s hobbies were sewing and reading. Even though she was quiet, she enjoyed a healthy conversation and discussions on politics. Sandra was a telephone operator, health care assistant, and child care provider. Sandra enjoyed taking courses to learn new things. She was a hard worker and enjoyed helping others.

Sandra loved her family and friends. She often gave advice on health remedies. Sandra cleaned, washed, and ironed, however, she did not cook. Sandra was a mighty woman of faith. She was there for whoever needed a word of God, a word of encouragement, and a sincere loving smile. Sandra lit up the room with her joyful voice and distinctive laughter. She shared her life as a Christian with others, converting many to the faith. Sandra was relentless!

Sandra was the second of four siblings. She is preceded in death by her sister Daphne Smith. Sandra is survived by her children; Dale Smith (son) and Glenda Haynes-Smith (Daughter-in-law), Jason Smith (son), and Peter John (son). Her siblings, brother, Trevore Smith and sister, Marjorie smith. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kyle, Tye, and Kemiya and a niece, Monique and a nephew, Christopher. Sandra will be greatly missed by her loved ones and family!

Visitation on Thursday, March 9th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m.  Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield
