Sergio Kachevsky
August 23, 1935 — May 24, 2011
Sergio was the beloved husband of 45 years to Valentina and the dear brother of Slava and his family. He also leaves many friends. Born in Russia, Sergio emmigrated to Cile, SA during WW II, where he learned the jewelry business. He came to the US in 1962 where he worked for various jewelers, before ending his career at Oscar Heyman & Brothers in NYC. Sergio was very devoted to his church, Our Lady of Kazan Russian Orthodox Church in Newark where he served as Starosta for over 30 years.
