Teresa Buchynski

April 6, 1924 — June 8, 2022

Teresa Buchynski, (nee Wierciak), 98, of Nutley, NJ passed away peacefully at home in her sleep. Originally from Wyandotte, MI., Teresa moved to NJ in 1946 where she married Charles Buchynski. They moved to Nutley in 1951, where they remained until their deaths. Teresa is survived by her daughter Rita Bowlby, son Mark Buchynski and his wife Nada, grandsons Gregory Bowlby & his wife Kristin and Steven Buchynski, great granddaughters Ava and Evelyn Bowlby and many nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her loving husband Charles, her son Charles "Chipper" Buchynski and her grandson Jeffrey Bowlby. Teresa maintained a loving and comfortable home for her husband and children. She was an excellent cook and made the best pineapple upside-down cake ever. She worked at People's Bank, later Valley National in Belleville, NJ from 1966 until her retirement at age 65. Teresa treated her customers with the utmost respect and privacy. After retirement, Teresa became an avid news junkie. She was always tuning into FOX, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg and FOX Business. Politics and finance were her favorite topics. Viewing will be held at Levandoski -Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 from 2PM until 4PM on Monday June 13. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 761 Summit Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07307.
