Terry M Best

Terry Micheal Best was born on November 25, 1956 to the union of the late Alexander Harris and Janet Wright in Chicago, IL. While still a young child, Terry moved to New Jersey. The Lord called Terry home on October 30, 2018 at the age of 61. He held a great love for his family, music and science. Terry was a successful and respected Chemist at Sun Chemical Corporation. During his tenure, Terry widely contributed to the world of science through his work in Research and Development. Terry received many accolades and holds several U.S. patents. Terry was prominently displayed on the cover of an industry magazine, RadTech Report July/August 2001 featuring his Research and Development Laboratory at Sun Chemical. Terry was united in Holy Matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, Denise Marie Thomas, on February 14, 1986. Denise and his children were his entire world. Terry and Denise were married 29 years until Denise went home to the Lord in 2015. Terry was a great provider in the home and a diligent worker outside of the home. Terry will be especially remembered for his charming demeanor, loyalty, honesty, and exceptional work ethic. During his life on Earth, Terry made an impression on those he met. His 1,000 watt smile could light up the dimmest room. Terrys memory and legacy will continue on through his family and professional accomplishments. Terry was predeceased by his parents Alexander Harris and Janet Wright, and his siblings; Ricky, Gerald, and Juanita. Terry leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Dalandra Young, Terri Johnson, Schylar Best and Kyra Best-Massicot; his sons-in-law, Jeremy Young, Derrick Johnson, Sr. Miguel Massicot; his grandchildren, Alexus Thomas, Rico Lucky, Ricquel Lucky, Schylar Best Jr., Derrick Johnson II; his great grandchild, Adriano Cordiero Diniz Jr.; his sister, Bonnie Best; his sisters-in-law, Geneva Best, Madeline Rich, and Esther Smith as well as a host of nieces,nephews and cousins.
