Theodor Polansky, 90 passed away on May 24, 2016 at Cranford Health and Extended Care Center. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, May 28 at 8:30 AM from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union with the funeral service to follow at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hillside and the burial at Hollywood Cemetery in Union. The visitation in on Friday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home with Parastas at 7 PM. Theodor was the beloved husband of the late Doris Polansky, and the devoted father of Irene Mykietiuk. He is also survived by their dear cat Cinnamon. Mr. Polansky was born in Ukraine and lived in Union, NJ for the past 50 years. He worked for many years at Ketchum McDougall in Roseland and he retired from Summit Filter many years ago. He was a member of the Organization for the Defense of Lemkivscyna and the Church Chior at both St. John's and Imaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Churches. His interests included shooting pool, and watching Soccer and Dancing with the Stars on television.
