Theodore F Filipek

Theodore F. Filipek, 91 of Manahawkin, entered into eternal rest on September 12, 2021. Born in Newark to the late Albert Filipek & Mary (nee: Kaminski), he lived in Belleville most of his life until moving to Manahawkin 20 years ago. He was the co-owner of Bellevue Tool Co., in Belleville for 35 years. A Marine Veteran of the Korean War, he was an avid bowler while living in Belleville. After retirement, he frequented cruises with his wife and the occasional trip to Las Vegas. While down the shore he enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing. He was an active member of the American Legion in Manahawkin. He is the beloved husband of Jean (nee: Lang), cherished father of Ronald Filipek, Dr. Richard Filipek & his wife Dottie, Sharon Filipek, Jim Filipek & his wife Chris & Lori Rowe & her husband, Kenny. He was also the proud and loving grandfather of Captain Erik Filipek (US Army) & his wife Caley, Matthew Filipek & Trevor Rowe and great-granddaughters; Allison & Kayla Filipek. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, September 16th at 8:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Belleville.
