Theodore Furda, World War II veteran of the 20th AirForce, died January 17, 2018 in the company of family. Born in Newark in 1926, he resided in Irvington and Whiting with his wife, Sophie, who predeceased him. He is survived by his children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Scoutmaster in Irvington for 20 years, he had a gift for painting in later life. Donations , in lieu of flowers, can be made to Deborah Heart or St. Jude's Children's Hospitals.
