Theresa Cassese

Teresina Sabatino was born on February 28, 1922 in Naples, Italy to the late Antonio Sabatino and Rosa Pepe. She was the oldest of four children. Teresina's mother died at a young age. She was separated from her siblings and father, and sent to an orphanage. She eventually gained employment, and worked as a nanny/housekeeper. As fate would have it, her next job introduced to the next chapter in her life. While working at Marie Lee's Bridal Shop, she was introduced to the owners' son, who turned out to be her future husband, Joseph "Joe T" Cassese. They eventually married and had two beautiful children Marie and Vito. After her children were grown, she gained employment as a personal assistant for Marilyn Horne, a famous opera singer. She worked for her until she retired. Her daily walks, her lottery tickets, and her frequent trips to Dunkin Donuts put her on a first name basis with everyone in the community. Her family enjoyed and couldn't wait for her great Italian cooking, especially on Thanksgiving when she made her famous stuffing, roasted peppers from scratch, and homemade gravy. Terry was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe, son Vito, and daughter Marie. She leaves to remember her memories and love her loving grandson Victor Jr (LaToi); her great- grandchildren Jihad, Sydney, Victor 3rd, and Timiyah. Her loving step-children Joe and Diana (Craig), step grandchildren Graig, Diane and Jeremy and dear friend Joanne. Terry led a full and productive life. She would not want you to grieve, but to cherish the memories you have with her, and to be happy she joined her husband and children in eternal rest. She called God, and God answered her call. Until we meet again you will forever be close to our hearts.
