Tina A Frascino

June 12, 1950 — June 12, 2024

Tina A. Frascino, 74, of Bloomfield, formerly of Jersey City and the ultimate Jersey Girl, entered eternal life on June 12, 2024 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She departed this world on the same date she burst forth into this world in 1950.

Our Tina was fierce and fabulous. She worked at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office for 37 years where she formed life-long friendships and memories. She was always willing to share a cup of coffee and an open bag of Wise potato chips. Tina loved to read romances and mysteries. She kept books in style and Barnes and Noble in business. She relished her trips to Atlantic City where she was “queen of the machine.” Those who knew Tina loved her for her old-timey habits: a clothesline of t-shirts, ironed pajamas, a drawer full of Wonder Bread and Devil Dogs. She was the ultimate shopper, which often meant that family members did not visit the mall when they needed a new pocketbook or wallet. She loved to crochet and anyone who knew her likely has one of her handmade blankets in their home.

However, her favorite pastime of all was spending time with family. Tina loved having everyone around her, laughing and living. She is the beloved wife of Frank Frascino, the cherished mother of Tara Sullivan (Kevin), the spicy sister of Jeanne Falco (George) and Michele Lofrano (Jeanne), the adored aunt of Christopher Falco (Angela) and great aunt to Ava and Nik Falco. Most of all, she lived for her grandchildren, Jake and Sloane Sullivan, attending baseball games and recitals since they were tots. She was the coolest “Mimi” around.

She is predeceased by her brother Philip Lofrano, her mother Connie Lofrano, and her father Michael Lofrano. There is one hot poker game happening in the afterlife.

A mass and memorial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue in Bloomfield on Friday, June 21 at 1pm.
