Virginia M Maxwell

Virginia M. Maxwell (nee: Sullivan) of Bloomfield, mother of 10, passed away at her home on August 2nd. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ. The Funeral will be conducted on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at St. Valentine Church, Bloomfield. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Born March 30, 1918 and raised in Montclair, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Sullivan (nee: Walsh), she graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1936. She married the late Robert E. Maxwell on Valentine's Day, 1942. She resided in Passaic, NJ & North Hollywood, California before returning to Montclair, where they lived for 27 years, before moving to Bloomfield. She was a member of the Watsessing Senior's Group. She is survived by eight children; Joseph (Helen), Marilyn (Ed), William, Neil, John (Monica), Virginia (Michael), Patricia & James. She is also survived by many 14 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert E., sons, Robert, Jr., & Kevin, her siblings, Eileen & Joseph. She was devout Catholic who was known by those around her not to speak ill of others and for her grace and kind manners.In lieu of flowers, donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
