Gibson, Walter J. 89 of Irvington passed away on August 1, 2013 at St. Barnabas Med. Ctr., Livingston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, August 10 at 12 Noon at the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 10AM-12 PM at the funeral home. The interment will take place on Monday, August 12 at 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, in Wrightstown, NJ. A procession will be leaving the Funeral Home at 9:30 AM. Mr. Gibson was the beloved husband of the late Mildred and also his former wife, Susan Preston and their children, Alice Larry, Walter Jr., Bruce, John Leslie, and Timothy Allen Gibson. Walter was also the loving Grandfather to, 14 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother John Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a proud Army Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War.
