Wladimir Welyczkowski

Welyczkowski, Wladimir, 88 of Florham Park, NJ passed away at home on October 23, 2013. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, October 26 at 8:30 AM from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083 with the Funeral Service at 9:30 AM at St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 719 Sanford Ave., Newark, NJ 07106 and the interment to follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 PM with parastas at 7:30 PM. Wladimir was the beloved husband of the late Lidia Welyczkowski, the devoted father of Valerie Burachinsky and her husband Andrew, and George Welyczkowski and his wife Maria. He was the loving grandfather of Erik Burachinsky and his wife Kristina , Dennis Burachinsky and his wife Stephanie, Adrienne McPherson and her husband Drew, and Alex Welyczkowski and dear great grandfather of Mia and Vera Burachinsky. Mr Welyczkowski was the brother of Irene Holynskyj and her husband Joseph, and Bohdan Zerebecky and his wife, the late Bogdanna Zerebecky. In Lieu of flowers we will set up a Trust fund for Reconstructive surgery for Maria Tkachuk. If you wish to make a donation, the check should be made out to "Maria Tkachuk Trust Fund". Mariyka lived with us for almost a year while undergoing eight surgeries to repair her trachea and vocal chords. She was 18 months old at the time and brought a lot of joy and happiness to my father . They have always remained close and maintained contact . His fondest wish was to assist her in getting the proper reconstructive surgery at the appropriate time. She is now 12 years old and will soon be starting this daunting process.
