Y. Joseph Yaworsky

Yaroslaw was the beloved husband of the late Irene (2013); the devoted father of Mary Jane Kolodij and her husband, Jerry and George Myron Yaworsky; the loving grandfather of Michael and Stefan Kolodij and the dear brother in law of Lidia Lysak. He is also survived by cousins, Adrian & Irene Strysky and family, Roman and Vira Chapelsky and family, Dr. Oleh and Christine Hornykewycz and family and Dr. George and Zenia Yaworsky and family. Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, April 25 at 8:30 AM from the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083 with the Funeral Liturgy at 9:30 AM at St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 719 Sanford Ave., Newark, NJ 07106 and the burial to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and Parastas at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Yaroslaw retired from PSE&G in Newark in 1996 after 41 years of service as an electrical engineer. He was a very active parishioner of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Newark serving on the Church Council and on the Finance Committee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Liturgies for the repose of Yaroslaw's soul, memorial contributions to St Jude Research Hospital or memorial contributions to St John's Ukrainian Catholic Church
