Zoriana Smorodsky

Originally from Chicago, Zirka resided with her family in Ho-Ho-Kus NJ for 35 years and retired with her husband Myroslaw, to the Four Seasons Community in Lakewood NJ in May of 2017. Zirka passed into eternity after a 48 year struggle with five various cancers, during which she won many battles, but ultimately lost the war after her latest recurrence of the disease. Her final moments were spent peacefully, and surrounded by her loving immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Myroslaw, daughters, Tanya Rakowsky with husband Kornylo, and Olya Matkiwsky with husband Erik, grandchildren, Emma, Megan, Nina, Luka and Erik. Sister, Marta Kozyckyj and nieces Roxolana and Tamara Kozyckij. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to a Ukrainian charity of their choice.
